We've decided that you need more information. Apple might have its own game of the day, but Apple wants you to spend money on anything - that's sort of the point of running a business. Here at Pocket Gamer, on the other hand, we just want you to play the very best mobile games all of the time. Bad mobile games are bad, and playing them may well upset you. That's why, every day from now on, we're going to let you know about one spectacular mobile game that you definitely should be playing.Lichtspeer

Our first game of the day is Lichtspeer, which is a game all about throwing spears at weird norse monsters. It's basically like an episode of Game of Thrones, except viewed through the psychedelic haze of the late 60s. Which is pretty awesome, if you ask us.

When we reviewed the game, our intrepid critic said "Lichtspeer is a brilliant, beguiling, and often chaotically stupid game. It's also one of the best things I've played on mobile for a good long while, and it's well worth picking up." He then gave it a shiny Gold Award, and those things do not grow on trees.
Click here and you can read our Lichtspeer review in its entirety
There's a simple drag and release mechanism to the play here that's a little reminiscent of Angry Birds. Rather than attacking stationary targets though, here you're trying to fight back waves of LSD-infused zombies, enormous giants, and more.

A rumor's growing fast in the gaming world that Beenox, known for a couple of ports on Nintendo's platforms, is developing the Nintendo Switch version of Call of Duty: WWII, the latest opus in the massively successful franchise.

Returning, as the title implies, to World War II in order to boost the franchise to new heights (and to follow into the footsteps of Battlefield 1) the game's going to be shown at E3 in full but the platforms announced are still not definitive, giving some credibility to the rumor.

On top of that, you can now link your Nintendo Account on Call of Duty's websites and Beenox is posting on Twitter about meetings related to Call of Duty.

It seems possible enough at least and this is something that, if true, should be announced at Nintendo's Digital Event at E3.
Source 1, 2

Actor, musician and all-around funnyman Reggie Watts is going to be taking his comedy act to virtual reality later this month.
Have you ever played those fancy, digital slot machines at the casino that try to resemble video games?

Spinlanders takes that concept and rolls with it, taking it a step further with some RPG elements.

It’s a video game that draws inspiration from slot machine games that draw inspiration from video games.

Only, funny enough, it’s completely free to play.

In Spinlanders, you spin reels like a slot machine to determine your next move.

Matches let you attack, loot, and more across 30 stages. You can even get multi-line spins, just like with real slot machines.

Except you won’t be losing any real money in the process.

Spinlanders had a Kickstarter way back in 2012.

It wasn't successful, but despite that the game is now out on iOS, with an Android version coming soon.

Download Spinlanders for free on the App Store.

PlatinumGames is plunging into the mobile scene with World of Demons, an upcoming hack-and-slash game that is set to arrive on iOS. Platinum is pairing with prolific mobile developer DeNA to bring the project to life.

World of Demons is set in a fantasy version of ancient Japan, where brave samurai must fight yokai, legendary monsters from Japanese folklore, who are threatening the land. The game promises to be an action game that gives players full movement throughout the environment to perform impressive attacks and combos. Players can choose from a team of unique samurai, and even command their own host of loyal yokai minions.

An homage to its Japanese roots, World of Demons' visual aesthetic is drawn from traditional Japanese paintings and woodblock prints, lending the game a pop of style. Platinum has even custom fitted the game’s engine to support new graphics technologies to better serve the game’s unique artwork. The graphics look reminiscent of Okami, which was developed by PlatinumGames team members under the now defunct studio Clover.

World of Demons is expected to land on the App Store this summer. An Android version will follow along later in the year. In the meantime, you can check out the game’s official website here.
The game offers real-time strategies and quint for the gamers to be drawn into the different warfare with different enemies every time. You will lead the vast army of your region being the commander-general of the military; the exciting thing is that all the soldiers in the military are not just ordinary soldiers but heroes in themselves equipped with different skills. Each hero has their powerful skill and ability that they alone can destroy the whole enemy.
