With October on our doorsteps you know what that means. As well as Halloween making a speedy approach, the PSVR (formerly Project Morpheus) comes out on the 13th October and PlayStation's just released a list of games ahead of time.

That's the one major thing affecting so many potential players in that buying a VR headset on launch leaves you diving into a pool of murky water – you don't quite know what'll be waiting for you. With the Vive and Oculus things were a little different, especially with Oculus' press-released models (the DK1 and DK2), as they gave you the opportunity to try different things out. Their integration with Steam lets players explore and experience a variety of indie games ahead of time, but PlayStation have kept things fairly close to their chests.

According to roadtovr's article, PSVR exclusive titles can't be purchased just yet, but full games with VR experience can be pre-ordered and pre-loaded in time for launch day.So far, VR games on the EN-US PlayStation Store are:
EVE: ValkyrieBattlezoneHustle Kings VRRez InfiniteRIGS Mechanized Combat LeagueBatman: Arkham VRRise of the Tomb Raider's only VR-supported mission Blood Ties100ft Robot GolfDRIVECLUB VRPlayStation VR WorldsTumble VRUntil Dawn: Rush of BloodWayward SkyWithin
I wouldn't pass off the idea that it's an exhausted list. No doubt we'll be hearing more titles released in the coming weeks before launch.
The Shepherd and the Dog

Nintendo is making some big changes to how it operates and especially how it views mobile software. While its not technically a game, its first app, Miitomo, is still noteworthy because it's the first of many planned apps with its partner DeNa.

As its customary in Japan, you can now pre-register for the app via this website. In doing so, you'll be the first to know when the app launches or when Nintendo wants to do some tests.

Miitomo works with the new, unified Nintendo Account that also just opened. You can register for a shiny new account here. With it, you'll be able to earn platinum coins that you'll then be spend on a store. This account system is also a bridge between Nintendo's systems and mobile devices.

All in all, this is a small but important step towards Nintendo's first game on mobile. We should have more info about it this year but we already know it will feature an iconic character from Nintendo's treasured IPs.

We'll post about it as soon as we have more info. Until then, look forward to Miitomo launching in March.

Simple usage of demon kingA NUMBER of Flies were attracted to a jar of honey which had been overturned in a housekeeper's room, and placing their feet in it, ate greedily. Their feet, however, became so smeared with the honey that they could not use their wings, nor release themselves, and were suffocated. Just as they were expiring, they exclaimed, "O foolish creatures that we are, for the sake of a little pleasure we have destroyed ourselves."
WOLF, meeting with a Lamb astray from the fold, resolved not to lay violent hands on him, but to find some plea to justify to the Lamb the Wolf's right to eat him. He thus addressed him: "Sirrah, last year you grossly insulted me." "Indeed," bleated the Lamb in a mournful tone of voice, "I was not then born." Then said the Wolf, "You feed in my pasture." "No, good sir," replied the Lamb, "I have not yet tasted grass." Again said the Wolf, "You drink of my well." "No," exclaimed the Lamb, "I never yet drank water, for as yet my mother's milk is both food and drink to me." Upon which the Wolf seized him and ate him up, saying, "Well! I won't remain supperless, even though you refute every one of my imputations." The tyrant will always find a pretext for his tyranny.

Gears POP! is the mobile-bound spinoff to Microsoft’s hugely influential Gears of War games. It gives the grizzled heroes and villains of Gears a cute Pop! vinyl makeover, which is sure to delight fans of the often grim, hilariously macho series. This one’s headed to iOS and Android on September 2nd, and pre-registrations for it are now open.

The basic idea is that you’ll collect and upgrade dozens of iconic heroes and villains from the Gears of War series, with each and every one having been given a nice Funko Pop! redesign. It appears to be the case that they've attempted to hook their mind up to a robot, though the process remains very much incomplete.

Over the course the next week, League of Legends: Wild Rift will be entering a closed beta test in the Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore before coming to other regions at a later date. This will be for Android devices whilst iOS users can currently register their interest to take part in future tests.

Alongside the beta, six new champions have been added to the game. This includes Amumu, Dr. Mundo, Jarvan IV, Sona, Singed, and Varus. As someone who used to play Sona a lot – because she's very simple to use and I'm bad – it's great to hear the Maven of the Strings will be in Wild Rift sooner rather than later.

Additionally, cosmetic items will also be arriving in the game too. These will purchasable through Wild Rift's in-game currency, Wild Cores. There are over 300 items being added including skins, emotes and recalls. Furthermore, there are also champion poses, in-game emblems and baubles available too.
Full list of EVERY champion in League of Legends: Wild Rift
Elsewhere, ranked mode will also make its debut in the Wild Rift. It will include a new tier called Emerald and in the higher ranks, the Victory Points system found in the PC version of League of Legends will also be present so players can battle it out for the top spot.

The camera controls have also apparently been improved with various options available for players to choose what works best for them. This will include a semi-locked camera, picture-in-picture, minimap movement, and custom button layouts.

To get involved in the beta if you live in those regions you pretty much have to wait and hope you're randomly selected after pre-registering for the game. If you're an iOS user you can currently only register your interest to take part in future tests.

League of Legends: Wild Rift will be heading to the App Store and Google Play for the rest of the world at some stage. It will be a free-to-play game with in-app purchases.
Looking for some multiplayer games to scratch that competitive itch? Here are 25 of the best available for iPhone and iPad
