This also includes some of the sweet treats from the bakery side.

There is a catch, however, with Starland. Anne never forgot the loveliness of the view that broke upon them when they had driven over the hill behind the village. Her new home could not yet be seen; but before her lay Four Winds Harbor like a great, shining mirror of rose and silver. Far down, she saw its entrance between the bar of sand dunes on one side and a steep, high, grim, red sandstone cliff on the other. Beyond the bar the sea, calm and austere, dreamed in the afterlight. The little fishing village, nestled in the cove where the sand-dunes met the harbor shore, looked like a great opal in the haze. The sky over them was like a jewelled cup from which the dusk was pouring; the air was crisp with the compelling tang of the sea, and the whole landscape was infused with the subtleties of a sea evening. A few dim sails drifted along the darkening, fir-clad harbor shores. A bell was ringing from the tower of a little white church on the far side; mellowly and dreamily sweet, the chime floated across the water blent with the moan of the sea. The great revolving light on the cliff at the channel flashed warm and golden against the clear northern sky, a trembling, quivering star of good hope. Far out along the horizon was the crinkled gray ribbon of a passing steamer's smoke.
Update on June 20th at 10:03: Hero Siege: Pocket Edition is now also out on iOS. Let's hope this one will stay updated and won't be removed from now on.
Hero Siege has quite the weird history on mobile. It was released a long time ago, in 2013 but was then taken down on iOS when the iPhone 6 and 6S came. It was subsequently brought back but not long before it was taken down again.

While it's not back yet on iOS, the app is back on Android and has changed. It contains a lot of the patches that made it to PC and some of the DLCs are already included. This should fix the balance problems and general boredom that we felt during our original review.

Attempt not impossibilities.
Norse mythology-inspired RPG Phantomgate: The Last Valkyrie recently touched down on iOS and Android, and to celebrate its launch, publisher Netmarble is sending players on an Easter egg hunt.

The in-game event runs between now and the end of October and there’s plenty of incentive to take part. Not only are there tonnes of rewards on offer, the first Guardian to find all six Easter eggs the developers have hidden in the game will earn the title of ‘Pioneer’.

Even if somebody else snaps up the full batch first, players will still rack up a load of points for collecting all of the eggs. The first one comes with 10,000 points and the amount you will earn goes up in increments of 10,000 each time, with the sixth being worth 60,000 points.

Players can also earn points by inviting their friends to the game and checking in during the event period, and they will be ranked into groups based on how many they accumulated. Those in ranks one to three (500,000-200,000 points) will earn special Elite Phantoms while those in ranks four and five (100,000 and 30,000 points) will be handed 500 and 300 gems respectively.

The game will drop hints about the location of the eggs whenever you complete an entire chapter or a certain stage, with the first clue coming when stage three of the first chapter has been cleared.

Phantomgate: The Last Valkyrie is available to download through Google Play and the App Store Now.
Devil's Eyes is an upcoming survival horror shooter set to launch for iOS next Saturday, January 18th. The game takes place in the far-off year of 2025, where a solar flare has decimated the world's power grids and means of communication. As society struggles to rebuild, you discover that something sinister is afoot in your small town.

A mysterious nearby laboratory has been hit hard by the flare, and as a result, its test subjects are now on the loose. These "half-human, half-monster hybrids" (otherwise known as zombies) have started a gruesome and unrelenting attack on their neighbours – one that only you a few other survivors are equipped to handle.

You play as gun-toting, zombie-slaying hero Lauren, "a strong, outgoing woman, who always puts others first". With her friends and family now very much at risk of being eaten, Lauren heads out to stop the zombie menace once and for all.

Your adventure will take you into the heart of a zombie-infested city, where all manner of fresh abominations lurk. You'll have to adapt to any scenario thrown at you, upgrade your weapons accordingly, and hunt for loot to remain well-stocked on ammo, curatives, and other helpful items.

Once you've settled into the experience, expect Devil's Eyes to start dropping huge bosses and other such monumental challenges on you. While it appears to be fair action-packed, the devs have obviously pulled a lot of inspiration from the survival horror genre. The weapon upgrade system sounds fairly in-depth, with there being a nice selection of shotguns, assault rifles, and pistols to test out and customise.

Devil's Eyes is set to launch for iOS on January 18th as a free-to-play title. Here's the game's App Store page, just in case you want to pre-order it or check out some more screenshots. Oh, and a special shout-out to App Army member Azeem for bringing this one to our attention.
Top 25 best action games on iPhone and iPad
Alongside the excitement of the Switch's release we've got one bit of (soft-of) bad news. It looks like The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ won't be making it on the 3rd, but don't fret.

The long-awaited sequel to TBoI: Rebirth, Afterbirth+ released on PC and consoles last month, and announced it'd be a launch title for the Switch not long before. However, a Tumblr post by the developer made it clear that it wasn't going to happen.

It's no big disappointment though as the game's still due for release in March. Tyrone (Nicalis) confirmed that the delay was for reasons 'way beyond their control'.

As well as the release delay, apparently Nicalis will be including a 20-page, full colour instruction booklet in each box, and two limited edition sticker sheets.

We don't have a date just yet for when Afterbirth+ will be knocking at your door, but we'll keep an eye out.
